I looked into this service, but got stopped by "geek speak". The web site says Livetrack24 uses GPRS for communication. From what I gathered via Google, GPRS is for GSM networks, not for the CDMA used by Verizon (but I could be wrong).

Does anyone have any experience using Livetrack24 using Verizon?

Did an experiment - Livetrack 24 works fine using an iPhone 4 running iOS 6.1.3 on Verizon. Now to see what it's like in flight in Eastern PA...

Livetrack is just using whatever internet connection you have on your smart phone. In most of the world, that is GSM.
