It's not Ventus 3, it's "Ventus Competition" btw.

Funny how the UK dealer has been advertising it has the Ventus 3 in
the last two S&G's. Maybe there are different models? Is there a Ventus
'non competition'?
Anyway from OLC:-

Schempp-Hirth has a “flying” Ventus on display. The brand-new glider
had been secretly refined and developed in Kirchheim and is now
“flying over” the AERO-booth. “You might call it the ‘Ventus 3’,
but
officially this new glider will simply be named ‘Ventus’.” Bernd
Weber
further explains how the new racer’s airfoil has been worked over in
the wind tunnel taking weather models into account to improve the
average speeds while flying cross country. “It will also have a
redesigned cockpit to fit larger pilots as well as the smaller guys. Our
new Ventus is the ideal glider for pilots who want to have more
opportunities or fly competitively.

Nothing about other wingspans yet?

Ah, so the competition model has spurs and the comfort model a nice, comfy saddle.

Thought that was already the difference between an A and B.

I see those pilots in the B models taking a nap during flights. They have the heated leather interior, cup holders, fancy air conditioning vents, and I'm sure there is a vanity mirror in there someplace.

OK, putting my spurs back on to climb in my V2a.
