Default Gliding Opportunity?

It's for this reason that Airbus have removed the use of thrust from their published stall recovery technique.

Yet another argument for glider training for airline pilots.

Airbus now says Thrust....As necessary. The old days of holding pitch and powering out of a stall went away with the Air France A-330 crash where they were using full power, but failed to recognize they were holding the plane in a deep stall all the way to the water.

BTW - 15 years left seat on the A320. Training programs have definitely changed and the requirement to train no-automation flying is helping the situation, somewhat.
