Yes, but flying at 18K' in the Rockies can get a bit uncomfortable in
shorts, especially under clouds. That's why I like the convertible pants; long legs for flying, zip off legs for shorts to enjoy that adult beverage after flying. I never fly in shorts or shirt with short sleeves. Dress to egress. If I find myself standing in a field or worse place I want to be protected from sun, cold whatever. I also wear very lightweight boots, not runners for flying.
