My bird #225 is presently with me in ND, when I trailer her home would that qualify for the longest tow award? LoL

So that makes three Florida based 1-26s.

Any "snowbirds" interested?

For those unfamiliar with the term, a "snowbird" is a northerner who comes south to escape some or all of their cold winters back home. (To me at least, it's surprising how many snowbirds bring gliders.)

#445 just moved from Colorado to X59 in Valkaria, FL and is undergoing an annual this week to get it back in the air. I think you can count on it joining the group.

So is four Floridian flyers enough to make it a date?

Let's say yes for now. But if no out-of-state interest appears I may consider changing the name to the 1-26 Florida Fly-off. (Is "fly-in" appropriate for gliders?)

I'd like to volunteer to fly tow.......we get four ropes of different lengths and I can get all four of you up at once.
