Mak should've stayed with the gaggle... Hindsight is 20:20. The gaggle almost didn't make it home, some very low saves and weak lift going into the last turn. The US and CA team didn't make it home. UJ was down to about 300 meters agl about 50 km out, I wasn't sure he was going to make it home. Would have been better to start with a group of 8 to 10 gliders but hard to tell from just seeing those with trackers rather than knowing what other gliders were doing. |
