I don't think there have been any updates to either XCSoar or TopHat that allow operation on the Oudie. Both projects have stopped development for the Windows Mobile/CE systems. While Microsoft still sells the OS, there are very few new devices that are being sold. As a result, the interest and development effort for the platform does not exist in either project.

On the other hand LK8000 seems to still have a few interested developers for the platform, but I've not heard anything about using it on an Oudie.

Hi,

I have been using LK8000 on an Oudie Lite for several years and all LK8000 releases are still available for WinCE. I can honestly recommend it.

FYI, LK8000 has its' origins in the same code as XCSoar, the two were forked on their own paths some years ago.

I chose LK8000 just because I happened to slightly prefer its' UI over XCSoar, but this is a very subjective decision.

You can run XC Soar on the Oudie 2, but you do get the occasional drop of navboxes from the screen.

The easy fix to this is to swipe right on the screen to move to page 2 and then swipe again to move back to page 1.

I think you can also just tap the screen to make the menu boxes appear and then cancel out of the menu and the graphics boxes are restored.

The graphics "glitch" is nothing serious and happens occasionally and only when you change something on the screen. If you are in Nav mode and change nothing the display is fine.

There are any people running XC Soar on an Oudie, despite the "warning" on the XC Soarp page. It's not perfect, but it works.

Dave, Thanks for the tips on how to make it work should it "glitch" occasionally.
I can certainly live with that. Good to know.
