Kingfish,

Then again when I see
an airport identifier I don't know I just look it up on Airnav.

At least make it the correct identifier, which is KMVY. There are
countries outside the US, believe it or not.

Is there an KMVY? I fly out of O61. There is no KO61, just O61. When I
file CANPASS into Canada I have to tell them I'm departing KSMF because
they can't access O61.

Are you asking rethorically or do you want a quick educational session
in proper airport identifier usage as defined by ICAO and used
internationally, including local difference for the US?

.....none of which are likely to serve as origin for anyone making a vfr
sunday morning breakfast flight. MVY will do just fine. Ease up there,
Herr Thomas. An ounce of pretension is worth a pound of manure.

John,

Seems I sounded way more aggressive than I ever intended to. Sorry for
that.

Well, if you're going to use your handheld VFR GPS on the flight,
you're gonna need the K.

Ran into Eva Longoria in San Diego last month while clearing customs.
Can't really say I met her but she ran right past me.

My only brush with celebrity came at Sikorsky Mem'l in Bridgeport CT
when I worked there in operations. Christopher Walken flew out to his
house on Block Island (RI) in a chartered Seneca V.

If you thought he looked creepy on screen, you should see him in
person.

I was (Minnesota Gopher / Washington Redskins NFL - kicker) Chip Lomiller's
swimming teacher when I was in high school. That's it!

Forgot one:
Sally Struthers and I chatted at a party two years ago. She was in a show I
helped build.

One mo
Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart said "Hi" to me as we both waited on the
curb [for different rides] at the Hilton during last year's OSH, or was it
two years ago? I looked non-threatening I suppose, since I was holding a bag
of melting ice at the time.

[Necessary Aviation Content] ...Run in with a Star:
Burt Rutan last year at the Lindbergh Foundation Awards event at ANE. Eric
Lindbergh, too.

Montblack
Roger McGuinn (The BYRDS) signed a CD for me after we chatted.

I listen using an iPod program download on my PC computer - works with fewer
glitches than most other formats.
