Default Flap handle grip for LS6

I missed this thread, so sorry if I'm off the mark here. For a flap handle,
check out your local bicycle store. They have many grips that might do the
trick for you...perhaps even more ergonomic that what you now have.

I wish I knew! My (our) LS6 flaphandle is pretty shabby too.
Let us know what you find out please.

We recently replaced our stick grip ( different a/c, a Libelle ) with
close to OEM parts... a xc ski pole grip. That would probably work with the spoiler grip,
but not the flaps.

The rubber pistol grip on the flap handle in my LS6 is pretty badly
deteriorated. The spoiler handle grip is also going down hill. DG
replied to an email that they can't help me with replacements.
The next step could be fabrication, but I thought I'd try the group
first. Is there a source for these handgrips? I noticed pictures of
the JS1 Revelation cockpit showed grips that look similar.
I have seen wooden replacement grips and I could carve some. But I
thought I'd try and mold some.
If you have any tips or techniques let me know. I don't know what
rubber product to use, but we've got a local rubber products vendor
with a large inventory.
Thanks
Robin - RF

I refinished my grip. The grip was badly deteriorated and falling
apart. It required glue, then I slipped heat shrink tubing over to
make it solid again. I refinished it with rubber spray. It looked
new when finished.

Hotel Alpha is a Std Cirrus in South Africa - presume your HA is a LS6?
