Is anyone using Foreflight for soaring and if so what in particular do you like about this program?

Thanks

I've started using WingX Pro (http://www.hiltonsoftware.com) on my iPhone mostly as a replacement for sectional chart and to get the detailed airport info when needed.

If you are an current instructor, the software is FREE! CFIG only is good enough even though it's really an airplane tool. :-)

Don't know if Foreflight works on Androids or not, but Avare is free,
has current sectionals, IFR low and high charts, approach procedures,
TFRs, airport guide, flight planning..., etc. Created by a pilot for
pilots and you don't need anything special (licenses) other than an
Android device. Neither, do you need any kind of connection once you've
downloaded the data to your device.

Coupled with a Stratus it'll save your life if you end up in accidental IFR.

I use stratus 2 and foreflight in our 170B. Luckily I haven't had to use the AHRS system in IMC conditions but it sure seems to be extremely accurate. I would like to see foreflight use the red, yellow, color scheme for obstacle and terrain clearance as does Garmin 430/496 does. way better to understand IMHO
