Changing ADF frequencies in 0.5 increments
Trying to set 349.5 ADF frequency but unable to get the last 0.5 This
is an issue mention my a previous poster a couple of years ago but no solution was offerd. In a PCPilot magazine, an author of a tutorial mentioned that "when you set up a flight simulator such as fs2002 its wise to opt for the half frequency option" But doesn't mention how this is done. (neither does the help menu offer anything.) Suggestions D. |

If I remember correctly it's in one of the options or aircraft menu - try
the option first. My FS system isn't up right now. The option menu (when flying) only gives me
(general/display/international/ATC) which are no different to the settings options in startup menu. Can't see anything which refers to instruments or frequencies. ??do you have extra options (using fs2002 pro) D. Brett Holcomb wrote in message ... I can't find it now! Did you check under Aircraft menu. I don't have a
system that runs FS2002 Pro anymore - Windows decided to die on that one so I haven't reinstalled it yet. I couldn't find it on FS2004 either. Options that I can call up while flying dont mention anything to do
with frequencies. Aircraft menu Select aircraft (tries cesna172 with IFS panel - no change) Kneeboard Navigation (EFIS optio not change anything) Fuel Realism settings (nothing here either) System failures (nothing setup to fail) Slew Mode (not realy apply) Alex I can select up to frequency 1699.0 on ADF at the moment Hoping that I'm not going to have to try a reinstall..... ?was there an option at install asking what frequency we want setup? D. Alex D. Nicolson wrote in message . .. No longer have Fs2002 Pro installed but if my ancient memory serves - the 0.5 khz facility is brought up by extending the ADF coverage to 1700 khz. How this was done I cannot presently recall. I always enabled it as I don't fly in the US. Someone else is sure to come up with an answer... Odd.
My original comment referred to Fs98... Fs2000 had the Increments as a selectable Option on "Instruments". A search of my Fs2002 documentation has nothing, suggesting it is available automatically by the ADF receiver - as is currently done in Fs2004. Try changing your ADF to a different more recent gauge model - some of the older ADF receiver gauges did have this specific problem. Well in the end I just reinstalled fs2002 and can now chnage the adf
in 0.5 increments. The radiostack panels are different so it appears that the stack file must have been changed when I installed a new plane. Thanks for your suggestions D. Alex D. (neither does the help menu offer anything.) Suggestions In FS98 the 0.5 ADF option was on the same menu page as the 0.025 COM freqeuncy option, plus one or two other items. I think it was under Options...Preferences but I'll check, next time I run it and send another post later. I expect to be running FS2002Pro on a new PC by next week, so I'll go looking for options like this during the install and let you know what I find. -- regards, Mark |
