I believe that was NBC's Dateline that did the exploding Chevy Truck trick.
Not much difference, though. Shoddy reporting, misinformation and
obfuscation have become the rule rather than the exception these days.

...interesting that in his rant he claims to be living at an airpark,
["In the meantime, though, we've got great new digs that put us right
on a lovely little airpark a ways up North, with a great home office,
a nice big hangar right outside the door."] but when i google earth'd
the address hitlaw provided it is nowhere near an airport. it's near
the I-40/NC-54 interchange.

as for the cash to buy the house, the glasair and all the rest, my
guess is someone died and left him the money.

Probably living in his VW Bus and parking under the overpass.Anyone have the N
number of the Glasair?

They are all more interested in ratings and increasing their fees for
ads than telling the truth. I don't put a great deal of faith in any
of the media, especially the news mags. What really gets to me is
when they will play both sides of the fence and then pat themselves on
the back.

You've heard of the Polish Virus; "please erase your own hard drive."

Well, Captain Zoom has outdone any parody that I, or anyone else,
could ever write.

See for yourself:http://evilurl.com/anallips

For a short April Fool all he has to do is post his claims for hours
and types flown.

Hey, He did say:

So... we're in the process of reaching agreements with some VERY talented
persons, with solid credentials and backgrounds --

If he can get anyone with "solid credentials and backgrounds" to talk to
him,
this is an improvement. Everyone that I've talked with, that meets that
description, won't allow their name used in the same sentence, if fact they
run like the wind.

Maybe the 'agreements' could also be called 'settlements'.

Oh yea, those. You are probably right.

"reaching agreements with some VERY talented persons, with solid credentials
