Garmin 396 Reception Improves
In article ,
"Dan Luke" wrote: Even with the GA26C, I've heard of folks having sporadic problems. I do not have problems in my airplane with my radios, but I suspect that in some cases, comm radios may still create a problem for some folks. I believe that the KX155 in particular can cause problems, as can certain other radios. Since changing to the GA26C I've had no further reception problems, and my NAV/COM 1 is a KX155. I believe that there is a filter that's supposed to be installed on older KX155 units during installation of a panel-mount GPS. I don't recall the source of that information off-hand, but I remember reading about it during my recent research into replacing my KX170B. I elected to get the KX170B fixed for now, though I will probably replace one of them with a 430W in the near future. JKG |
