Pilots are launching as I type this, 12:40 MDT. Task is
18 Meter Class Tue. Jun 21, 11 18 Meter Nationals Hobbs, NM Turn Area Task ID Name Distance (Miles) Radius 51 51 Start A 0.00 5.0 16 16 Jal 44.14 30.0 6 06 CaprckSt. 130.85 20.0 25 25 Morton 185.71 25.0 43 43 Refinery 252.69 1.0 50 50 START FIN 262.29 Distance (Miles)- 262.29 (Min: 133.68, Max: 397.15 Declare at 3:30 but pilots are asking for a 4 hour task, CD will determine duration once pilots are iin the air and he has spoken with his task advisers. Weather is cooler, mid-90's and soaring conditions should produce 4-6 knots of lift to 12K and should be pretty consistent. More later Ron Gleason |
