The orange and black triangle on the tail would indicate the markings from
summer 1940 or later. It denotes the national insignia of Dutch military aircraft adopted in 1939. Like the Poles, the Dutch would feature the marking on British aircraft crewed by those airmen who manage to evade capture by German forces in May of 1940. |
