Excellent "How Gliders Fly" Video
This 10 minute video has 600,000+ views and I can see why. It is one of the best and simple "How Gliders Fly" videos I have seen to explain our sport to the neophyte.

Excellent "How Gliders Fly" Video
It's a pity that he essentially equated a variometer to a VSI but I guess it's easier for laymen to understand without delving into the details of energy measurement.
