The above tip letter codes are followed by three digits: The first digit indicates the gas: 2 = Oxy/Acetelyne 4 = Oxy/Propane or Oxy/Natural Gas The second and third digits indicate the orifice size, and though there is no strict scale that they follow, a smaller set of numbers (01) indicates a smaller orifice. Thus, an AW202 is an OA tip for thin stuff, made for the AW (~aircraft) torch. Daniel |
