Berk and Burning Man in Air and Space
Berk, the pilot who crashed in Idaho earlier this summer, is quoted briefly
in the August issue of Air and Space Magazine. http://www.airspacemag.com/issues/20...ort.php?page=1 The rest of the folks quotes manage a mailing list I'm on and they're already improving things over last year. Definately an amazing and diverse group of pilots! -c |

Berk and Burning Man in Air and Space
"Morgans" wrote in message ... Thanks for the link. I had read some about BM before, and this was a nice addition. Well written. Not exaggerated, either. At one point the FAA told them it was a lot better run than most of the comparable airports in Nevada... of course, they only had to manage it for a week, which they acknowledge. BM itself is truly beyond belief, and not anything like the Rainbow-Gathering hippie heaven a lot of people take it for. Last time I went was in 2005. We built a three-sided viewing tower and gave away about a dozen kegs of homemade root beer. -c |
