I have a composite cowling. There are some places where fuel or oil
might drip - for example below carb if overprimed. I would like to simply paint that area inside or cover it with fuel resistant stuff with a drain hole. Would any common paint do? Do I have to use the tank sealer stuff - I don't need that much. Paul Lee ------------------ SQ2000 canard project: www.abri.com/sq2000 |

Sand the area where you want it coated.
Brush on a film of epoxy, Like the West Systems epoxy. It seals the fibers. Larry Fitzgerald |

I'm at the same point on my cowling.
I have about decided to shoot the inside bottom with Epibond. White in fact. Holds up well agains laquer thinner, mek, acetone, etc. Easier to clean too.
