Looks like good weather for P-ville this week end! by
Roger
The subject line pretty much says it all.
Last time I checked it looked like the scattered showers that had been
forecast have been replaced with partly cloudy to sunshine.
That is this week end, isn't it?

On rec.woodworking, the religious spammer ron grossi was supposedly
tracked to be originating from this ISP:

I don't know if its true, but I did send them an email about it some
time ago, with no response, of course.

Flighttech intercom? by
Rob Turk
Can anyone share their experience with the Flighttech ITC402 or ITC2003
intercoms, especially how they compare to other small intercoms like the
PM501? The noise reduction technology sound interesting, but how does it
perform in real life?

Spruce by
Caveat Empty Headed.
I've located a source of spruce in British Columbia that appears to be very
good. http://www.timberwright.ca/aircraft.html
anyone dealt with them?
This is for Spars, BTW.
The spruce they supply is uncertified, air -dried and unfinished, but
exceeds the criteria for certification.
They can't...

Engine sound of Rotax 912 by
JK
Here's a tough question, but I'll try anyway. Can anyone describe the sound
of a Rotax 912? I'm thinking of building a Zodiac XL, and have heard the
Zenith demo plane equipped with the Jabiru 3300, but I don't know if I have
ever heard the sound of a Rotax 912. Although sound may not be an...

Dynon EFIS-D10 Any Pireps or Opinion? by
Gig Giacona
I building a Zenith 601XL I'm wavering between a minimal IFR panel and a
nice VFR Cross Country panel. Setting the IFR panel aside for a moment I'm
considering a Dynon EFIS-D10 and a Garmin 196/296. My thought is that in VMC
the "panel" display on the Garmin could act as a back-up for the...

RV Snorkle Needed? by
MJC
Since I admit that I have no background in the physics of aerodynamics,
I'd like to throw out this question to the group.
Those of you familiar with the RV series know that a standard Lycoming
engine without the forward facing sump requires that little forward facing
snorkle inlet at the bottom of...

Fixing screw holes in fabric by
Brian Huffaker
Its annual time for the Starduster, and I was wondering about the
screws that hold on the inspection covers. Around each inspection hole,
there is a thickened area in the fabric cover that the screws go into. The
holes have become stripped out over time, and screws won't stay in.
Is there some...

Goodyear wheels by

I bought a set of Goodyear wheels at the Mid-Atlantic Flyin held in

and cleaned up real nice. I elected not to carry home the brake
calipers, they as it would be too hard to make them fit my installation.

A loss for the community by

Paul Connor, a builder from Mobile, Alabama, was killed this weekend

MoGas Long Term Test: 5000 gallons and counting... by
Jay Honeck
Yesterday I noticed that we had pumped more than 5000 gallons of mogas
through the Mighty Grape. This represents something like 60 complete fills
(our plane has four gas tanks, totaling 84 gallons), and around 350 hours of
flight time over the last 2.5 years.
