For those who wonder why the US doesn't do better in WGC

Their training site is a Mecca. It generates enough income to support a training program anyone would want to be in. I would guess the tourism income to the area would cover much, if not all, of the support they get. Take a bunch of talented new pilots. Give them gliders to fly and a place to stay so all they need to worry about is getting good. Coach them all the time with real objectives in place. Reap the reward. UH
