Yes, but if everyone believed this, then how could Ridge, et.al. make
such power grabs as throwing people in a dudgeon without even a mock trial?

We americans like being cuddled by out paternalistic government as we
suckle on our communal tit. With the Democraps help, Bush will protect
us all, and shield us from anyone who would challenge Cheney's big oil
deals.
