185 on wheels is tail wheel configuration;182 is nosewheel
185 usually has 300hp & three bladed prop;182 is 230hp&two blades 185 has a straight tail; 182 since about 1962 models have wider fuselage, and swept tail there are other differences too. my 182L is worth about $75k; similarly well-equipped 185 would be $150K. 180 is the narrow fuselage, straight-tail 182 on conventional gear. I vaguely recall the (wheeled) 185 being a trike. How do the 182 and 185 differ? Marc |
