I can sure relate to that painting, and I'm going to fly there to get it. In 1985 I accompanied my grandfather (96th BG) to the B-17 50th anniversary airshow there but of course the museum hadn't been built yet. Three old Forts flew in that day, and when my grandfather heard my first solo on the scanner in 1989, he rushed down to the airport to watch me fly. Yesterday I was shooting instrument approaches at McMinnville and found myself in the pattern with Nine-O-Nine. Awesome day! -c
