To see examples of these tricks, look at any Tom Cruise movie. He's rather short for a guy, but he plays these larger-than-life type characters. Life magazine once published a photograph of Sophia Loren strolling with one of her leading men. I seem to remember that it was Randolph Scott, though I can't imagine a movie that would have brought them together.
