Grumman G-1

When I was a kid growing up in Cincinnati, Procter and Gamble had a small
fleet of Grumman G-1's.
When the G-2's came out, the G-1's were replaced.
What has become of all the G-1's?
Is anyone still using them?
If not, why?

Phoenix Air has 10 or so of 'em at their facility in Cartersville Georgia
(VPC). One has been modified to play radar games with the Navy, a couple of
others have been used to carry cargo and for semi-scheduled service to the
gulf coast, and the remainder are ramp queens.
