Does anyone have any experience flying across the Washingon ADIZ?

Quite a bit.

I'll be under IFR, but I was wondering whether they sent IFR traffic
around the big ADIZ or through? If I have to go around, it'll most
likely mean a gas stop.

The ADIZ is mostly transparent to IFR pilots since the ADIZ requirements
(two-way comms with ATC, unique transponder code, flight plan) already
apply. There is the smaller FRZ (~15 mile radius) inside the ADIZ which you
will not be allowed into (unless you know the secret handshake), but that's
a much smaller detour than swinging around the ADIZ.
