Ehh? The A3D was more than 30' longer, had some 12' greater wingspan, and
grossed some 25 tons heavier.

Actually a bit more than that:

AF-2S maximum weight 22,565 pounds
A3D-2 maximum weight 78,000 pounds

My source is Ray Wagner's "American Combat Planes"
