ya this started happening to me a few weeks ago, so now after I file on duats, I
select review flight plan, if its not there I just call FSS and file

Anyone experiencing problems with this? Aside from the ADIZ and TFR crap.
I filed an IFR from LVK to SAC yesterday via duats and the clearance never came
available. The tower told me that only about half of the flight plans filed via
DUATS come up.
I found it strange. Back in 1999 when I was flying a C-340 for a guy, 80% of my
IFR plans were filed via DUATS and never had a problem.
I am wondering if this is something new or if I have just been lucky in the
past.

I wonder if the DUATS providers "upgraded" their servers to Windows
NT... :-(

Blaming all the evils in the world on Bill Gates is becoming passé. If DUATS
is having problems nowadays it is unquestionably the fault of the Bush
administration or, if you are a Republican, on "the Democrats" or
"terrorism." sigh It is so hard to keep up on the list of wicked people
these days. :-)

I hardly blame all the worlds evils on Bill Gates. However, having used
RSX-11, VMS, a few variants of Unix and several versions of Windows
(3.0, 3.1, 3.11, NT, 95, 98, Me, 2000, etc.), I can say with no fear of
contradiction that Windows is the least reliable OS family by a long
shot. It isn't even close. I've never had a windows machine that would
run continuously for even one month without a hang or crash. We had VMS
systems that ran for years with no unscheduled outages.

I have a unix server and 3 windoze servers.
the windoze ones are running mail,DNS,chat and video servers. the unix is running
web server.
I havnt rebooted my windows machines in months. It all depends on the apps you
run on them. I wouldnt run a web server on windows, but its good for other things.

Get a clue, man. The scapecoat d'jour is Illegal Aliens. Oh, wait,
we're legalizing them now, I forgot. The French? Maybe we could blame
it on the French :-)
