You never know. I once saw a bidder pay more for a used photographic ball
head than a brand new one cost.

Yup. eBay is wonderful for sellers, as it gives you access to the
least-common-denominator, when it comes to buyer intelligence. Even one
dumb buyer can push your sell price up to the reasonable maximum market
value, and with two you can go well past that mark. A million other smart
buyers looking at your product are helpless to prevent that from happening.

And as anyone who participates on Usenet knows, finding two dumb people just
isn't that hard.
