Then there were the "winners" that stole a 172 in the middle of the
night and drove off the end of the runway at 100 knts.. The elevator (s) had been removed for repair... Dave As well as Rod Machado's oft-told tale of the enthusiastic student who pronounced the C150 ready after a thorough preflight only to be brought down several pegs when it was pointed out that the plane was lacking a prop. An understandable mistake as on a hot day it would accelerate about the same. |
