when 3 B-17s and 10 B-25s flew up from Australia

As a footnote, two pilots of these 13 aircraft were awarded the medal of honor
in subsequent actions, both for raids to Rabaul, both posthumously One was
Capt. Pease. The other was Maj. Ray Wilkins.
