Dad's a New Englander himself with family in Vermont. Went to Univ of Maine
prior to war and as I mentioned was a Clark when they were attacked. He (as
he puts it) was one of the lucky ones to get out of the PI!!!! Not so lucky
those that had to endure what befell them at the hands of the Japanese.

I would be interested. Was born and grew up in New Hampshire which was

Pease'
home state so he has always been a hero to me. I have seen a couple of
references that mention he and some of his crew were captured and that he
behaved in an exemplary manner as a POW until the Japanese made him dig

his own
grave.....
