Oh yeah .. Saba ... Especially nice with a 25 kt tail-wind, at night.
Of course, if you stay throttle up you can just drop off the end and
start all over again.

I think Saba is where the joke about cows with one side short legs and
one side long legs comes from. IT is ALL mountain. The people are
great and very tourist friendly.

When I flew into Adak, Alaska, in 1964 aboard a Reeves Aleutian
Airlines Electra, we came in sideways. I was sitting at a window seat
and looked down the runway as we came in. The guy next to me kept on
say, "Oh, God, oh God." I don't know whether it helped or not, but we
landed safely. I had already crashed twice in military aircraft, so I
wasn't too concerned. NOT!

Adak and Shemya. Now Shemya was something. Oh and that crashing thing,
when your left seat guy says "oh darn" .. yes, that is a moment of
total clarity.
