Big floppy Tilly Hat? ...YES.
Nice looking hat from REI. Big brim, but not as dorky looking as some I
see
at airshows.
Hmm. I got my lat Tilly hat FROM REI. It was the only place I could
find that carried them.

I think mine is the REI explorer... About 1/2 the price of the Tilly and is
much better at attracting all the hot airplane groupies who hang out at
fly-in's. ;-)

Both of them? Wow, must be some hat.

Careful now. He said they were hot, not that they looked nice. They're
attracted to hat because they want to cool off.

Shhh! We don't use that name in public.
Former girlfriends have been know to use that name in GOOGLE searches
and try to contact me (which really ****es off the wife when she answers
the phone).

Mary sez I'm in for a new hat this year, too. Mine has been sat on
one too many times, apparently...and it needs to hold all my stoopid
pins and doodads from previous fly-ins...

Don't get my brand (Seattle Sombrero by Outdoor Research). It's made
with Goretex.

The development of sun screens that actually WORK has been a real
Godsend for me. After burning to a crisp my first year, I wore long,
loose khaki pants for the next 15 years at OSH, sweating
accordingly.

BUT EVERYONE REMEMBER

If your sunscreen is from last year, throw it out.

You will burn like a hot dog on "The Mother Of All Grills!"

Really, it loses it's ability to protect. Get a fresh batch.

Old age math...
In 1982 I was 28. 28+50=78. I might make it.
None of my uncles on my father's side have made it past 75, so far.
On my mothers side, they last well into their 80's.
