More on Bond Springs - in the 80s they had a couple of Twin Larks and a
2-spool winch with a very long cable. IIRC it was about a mile long and release was around 2,500 ft. Of course, my memory may be faulty! A bit harder to get to and you'll need a car (not necessary to visit Narromine). If you go to Keepit make sure to rent a cabin on the lake, which even has water in it these days !
