Terra Switch repair by
George A. Graham
A while back, someone sent me the repair procedure for
Terra radio switches (the digital ones). My radio is
the other type, so I did not keep those instructions.
Now a good friend needs those repair instructions, so
if you have them, please send me another copy.
Thank you,
George Graham

36HP VW Engine by
Claton Cadmus
I have a 1959 36HP VW engine and would like information and opinions
on converting this for use in a small single place homebuilt. Also
can anyone tell me or point me to a source of this engines HP and,
more importantly, torque vs RPM curve.
Thanks Claton

Bum Dope by

23 October 2003
I recently told a fellow he should be using a different cam in his engine.
Later messages made it clear I had been talking to the wrong guy. (I get lots
of mail.) Trouble is, now I can't remember WHO I was talking to. So here's a
general retraction, cross-posted.

Crooked or Wavy Trailing Edges of Wings and Control Surfaces by
Larry Smith
A few weeks ago I sighted down the trailing edges of a newly-built aluminum
experimental aircraft with a respected following. The wing's trailing edges
would make you dizzy they were so uneven. It was a little shocking. The
phenomenon reminded me of a novice builder's wooden horizontal...

Falcon Instruments by
Louis Gallego
I'm about ready for the panel work in my Zenith Zodizc 601XL. Are the
Falcon non-TSO'ed gyros (directional and attitude) any good? Anyone have
problems with them? Also, if they are non-TSO'ed, if I ever wanted to IFR
certify plane in future, do I need to replace these? Thanks in advance

Brace wire by

Question Guys. In the Hatz wings the internal brace wire is specified
as 3/16" AN703. Does anybody know a source for this? Spruce and Wicks
do not specify.
Thanks,

the thrill of flying interview is here! by

A liberal response to what I've read...
There's no denying what you experienced. If you were thrilled by
something, then that's what happened - whether it was planned or came
from a surprise.
Whether it was appropriate OR how you handled it is a question for
debate. I've really learned something...

Just Ordered: An Ignition Switch and Oil Filter from ACS by

Yipyip, and we talked back and forth just like old buddies. And you know
what? I used Rosalind's bank card. I am utterly shameless.
I called all over today at the salvage yards looking for a window latch for
a 170, fearing that Rosalind would get her pretty nose out of joint if we
ordered a...
