Note first picture.
I think it's easy to see how a pair of AOA sensing ports could be added to a glider nose.

Sticking winter vario by
Ian Reekie
I have a 10+ year old 57mm Winter vario that has just started sticking when
it reaches its full positive deflection. A gentle tap on the glass
releases the needle.
I guess it will need a trip to Winter this winter (no joke intended).
Out of curiosity, does anyone know what causes this sticking...

Has anyone got any definitive documentation regarding the fitting of "thin"
shims on Astir wing spigots that are approaching the 5mm limit on collars
I recall having something a few years ago, but unable to retrieve it
Fully aware of the engineering logic of too thick shims and...

Radio base stations by
Eric Greenwell[_4_]
I used a Tentec radio as a base station and crew radio for many years.
It worked well at home and in our various motorhomes, my wife liked it,
but it got old (25 years) and got cranky. I replaced with with an iCom
A6, but my wife doesn't like it because it is not nearly as noise and...

What does a hangar for a 15M glider cost? by
son_of_flubber
Any information on the economics of hangaring a glider would be welcome. Rent, buy, new, used, geographic location, "sunshade" to weather-tight, gliding season length?
Also. What is the demand (and demand trend) for glider hangars? Are hangars available for rent or sale where you fly?
How much...
