Piper Aztec - Alternator Conversion by
Dean
I have recently bought a 1960 Aztec with generators. Although these
have been overhauled recently, i'd rather have alternators installed.
I see InterAv have a generic kit. Has anyone installed this before?
What is the time to install, and any issues with particular brand?
Any feedback would be...

Piper Autocontrol IIIB by
PaulaJay1
Flew to dinner today with an outside temp of 10F. Auto pilot worked OK on the
trip out (plane came out of a 45F hanger). Parked for dinner for about 2
hours. The autopilot didn't work on the way back. You could feel the clutch
take hold but no corrective action to follow the bug. Simple roll...

Piper Arrow vs Cessna 182 by

I would like to know the advantages and disadvantages of these
aircraft. They have aproximately the same performance with a
significant difference in the fuel consumption. What about maintenance
cost? Please post your comments.

Piper Arrow Shoulder Belt Tensioner by
John T[_8_]
My partner and I are having a discussion about how the original pilot's
shoulder belt tensioner is supposed to work in our 1978 Arrow III.
Currently, it always applies tension, which bothers him a bit during
long flights. He thinks it should latch or ratchet so that once it
finds a position,...

Piper Arrow IV fuel pressure by
MC
Does your fuel-pressure gauge fluctuate noticibly ?
Mine vibrates at about a 3Hz rate between the
middle and bottom of the green-band.
Engine runs fine...
Turning-on the electic pump reduces the amplitude of
the swing and stablizes it at around mid gauge.
Is this 'normal' ??

Piper Archer - Headphones drains the battery ? by
Roy Page
When we bought our Piper Archer 2 years ago the previous owner cautioned
about leaving headphones plugged in in the rear seats.
He reckoned that with the headphones plugged in the battery would be slowly
drained.
I dismissed this caution as it did not seem to make any sense from an
electrical point...

Greetings:
I have a Piper Altimatic II autopilot in my '64 C model Aztec which has been
in-op since I bought the airplane. I bought a service manual for this
autopilot with the idea of learning how it was supposed to work, and with
the hope of , maybe, just maybe, getting it to work and having...

My Hershey-Bar wing Archer is in for annual. Today they found a crack in
the left wing aileron bellcrank support. Sounds dangerous. It's going to
need replacing. Any idea if this is as big a job as it sounds like? Will
the wing skins need to come off? Anyplace I can find a drawing of...

Ping: Mike Granby 396/KLN94 by
Jim Burns
Mike, since the Garmin firmware update 3.0 has been released allowing the
KLN94 serial input, have you removed your adapter or are you still using it?
Is anybody else inputting King serial data to their 396?
What about field approvals/337's for the Airgizmos panel mount? I'm not
arguing if you...
