Best lubricant for Mechanical Tachometer Cable??? by
RonLee
My tach cable housing (Lycoming) leaks nasty black stuff so I cleaned
and dried it. What is the best lubricant to use? Particularly one that
does not deteriorate and leak through the housing. What about a
covering for the housing to prevent the leaking?

Plans for seaplanes by
David Findlay
Are there any plan based homebuilt aircraft something like the searey, but 4
place? I quite like the concept of a seaplane, and the searey is pretty
cool, but being only 2 place it's a bit limited. Anyone know of anything
similiar? Thanks,
David

Spicer Sonex/Jabiru by
[email protected]
I was reading in the latest edition of Sport Aviation about Tony
Spicer's Sonex. He uses a Jabiru 3300 engine in it and reportedly gets
great performance from the plane with that engine. An interesting
tidbit of information in the article was a comment that an improvement
to the 3300 engine has...

RG Battery Charger by Jim Weir in Kitplanes by
Kevin O'Brien
Hi,
As an 8-year (or longer) Kitplanes subscriber, and longtime electronics tech
(Army Aviation-trained), I read with interest the articles Jim Weir wrote
about building your own RG battery charger (Kitplanes: March, April, & May
2004). This looks just like the ticket for my application, but I did...

Why so many rivets? by
Brian Sponcil
I'm currently considering embarking on an RV project and after checking out
a few in our local EAA chapter I ran across a seemingly curious fact. I
recall the builders telling me that their RV kits have around 10,000 rivets.
Compared to a Piper Comanche at 3,714 and a Warrior at 1,785 that's a...
