SH airbrakes hardware
Hi Tony,
Got your photo and checked the Discus wing in my barn. Looks like the L shaped bracket keeps the spoiler cap from bending aft (if spoilers were opened at higher speed) it should be securely mounted to the spoiler cap with epoxy, not bolted. On your spoiler cap bolt that has become loose, it too must be securely epoxied to the spoiler cap, so it looks like you need to completely remove the spoiler cap and re-epoxy the loose bolt and L bracket to the spoiler cap. Feel free to contact me regarding the fix and the “spoiler adjustment”, which is somewhat involved. JJ
