Default PIREP: nulite instrument lights

Mine has two red LEDs and one white LED. My wife has one and uses the
red LED light to read.

My $14.00 Rayovac head lamp on the red leds is fine. Actually a little
too bright. If needed I can turn on the white led.

White light is even brighter... two white LED's vice one red LED.

No I haven't done a lot of night complex. I have a modified C-172 with
Lyc O-360 and constant speed prop. But the C-172 overhead dome light has
shadows that the headlamp can cover. I only use it when necessary.

If you find this works well as your primary light system, I suspect you
don't do a lot of night in a complex plane. Since your light follows
your head scanning in IMC would be difficult.
