Not required. I believe that it was a requirement many years ago and some
ideas die hard.



I was expected to get them on my solo cross countries back in '78. I had the
misfortune of planning a cross country to the Anson County Airport in Wadesboro,
NC only to find nobody there. Nobody at all. I ended up stealing a small sign
that indicated where I got it from and my instructor accepted it as proof I'd
been there.

Never gone back....
