I've only been posting for less than a week, but I have found this group to be invaluable! It's amazing to me that so many folks with common interests are willing to provide thoughtful responses to a perfect stranger (me)! Get thee behind me, mentioning alternate wing positions in the same
sentence. There are two common posiitons -- Low, and other. Low wings are for manly pilots, who don't mind getting wet when it rains or having the PX sit in the puddle that might have accumulated on the right seat, crawling under the thing to check fuel, and -- I could go on and on listing the advantanges, but top this: name a single high wing SEL that has its tail on the correct way, like my Mooney does. So there. I have to go now and practice turns around a tie down.
