The Last Messages uses 1000 text messages to tell the story of a
Finnish executive who quits his job to travel the world, using his phone to communicate with friends and relatives at home. Interesting concept. There is another novel, "The Fan" (published around or before 1980) and another whose title is something like "Charring Cross Road" built on a similar premise (though it uses snail mail). Interesting books. Jose -- There are two kinds of people in the world. Those that just want to know what button to push, and those that want to know what happens when they push the button. for Email, make the obvious change in the address. |
