Default Flight recorder that records attitude

Does the community feel that such a product would add value and be of
use? Would you be interested in such a recorder? I'm very keen to hear
your views.

Absolutely, as long as it uses accurate 3-axis gyros/accelerometers,
GPS, and barametric pressure to create log files. What type of replay
support? A friend in my club is working on one, and the ShadowBox
http://shadowboxlive.com/ is a ruggedized plug-n-play solution. If I
had $500 burning a hole...

I know another fellow in Denmark working on a similar project. PM me
as I'm keen to hear more details and it may be worth your while to
coordinate efforts with these characters. (an electrical and a
software engineer)

The Shadowbox is a fascinating device. I can't think of any uses on a
glider that would interest me, but I do think it could be used to
analyze glider trailer stability. I don't know much about trailer
dynamics, but I know someone that does :^)

To test the idea, we need recordings from a Shadowbox affixed to a
trailer under tow. If there is someone that can do that, or can point me
to someone that might, please contact me privately by changing my email
address ending from ".netto" to ".us".

I am also interested in alternatives to the Shadowbox, whether available
now or in the next 6 months. I would particularly like one that could
record an external input. For trailer studies, this would be the angle
between the tow vehicle and the trailer tongue.
