Uhhh. I don't see a single edited video on your list. Just 7 UNCUT
segments.

The original footage was twice as long (he filmed it using two cameras).

While NMEA replay is more precise, you can also just replay an IGC file in XCSoar. I've seen clips on youtube already that had the video on one side and xcsoar on the other.

found it... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jefyAGk11H8

Tobias,

Cool. I am looking forward to the OS X version! Maybe I will download the Windows version and add it to these.

Does the Window's or OS X version allow the playback of multiple flights?

Thanks,

Sean

Sean,

As someone who is interested in starting to fly competitions and has scoured the internet far and wide for more information, I appreciate seeing your videos. With so little opportunity to see what really happens during a competition other than getting a rare chance at sitting back seat with some of the great ones out there, this is almost like getting some XC dual. I look forward to seeing more of your videos.

I think the US rules are excellent for a majority of what we do in the US, especially regionals with wide skill set ranges.

The new finish rule (700 ft AGL min finish alt with 500 = land out point) is the right thing. Finishing on the deck (or low out of energy) in a regional contest invites far to much risk for very little increased competitive value (if any). In my opinion it is all relative. You have the exact same strategic goal (to finish at x altitude) the difference is that if you muck it up your less likely to be hurt for making that mistake.

I just like ATs because they feel more objective to me and I can comprehend the situations better.

In this case, the MAT task was used brilliantly.

Again, thanks for the efforts on the rules. I felt it worthwhile to point out my support for the US rules in general although I think other options should be offered in parallel for certain classes or contests.

No, for replaying multiple flights we have built and are improving Skylines (http://www.skylines-project.org/). We plan to offer most of the functionality found in the desktop version of for example SeeYou, but inside of your favorite browser.

Sean,

Another "Thank you!" for some great flight video. I've made it through 6 of 8 and look forward to finishing the flight. I've been viewing the video and following the track on Google Earth with the turnpoints displayed as well...makes for an interesting learning experience...not to mention some great entertainment during these non-flyable winter days!

Keep up the good work and the videos coming!

Brad.
