Manual fuel transfer pumps by
[email protected]
Looking for suggestions for a aux fuel system transfer pump.
Originally thought of a classic wobble pump but have had tough time
finding and old one or an affordable new one. Have considered 12 volt
but prefer manual.
This RC pump looks promising but a bit slow: ...

Fracturing Aluminum by

We're making propellers over on the Chugger's Group. Right now guys
are mostly gluing-up the blanks that will become propellers. One of
the things that needs doing is creating the TEMPLATES that will be
needed in the final stages.
The templates are in the Files archive, full scale, so all we...

Tea Party by
Rip[_3_]
Subject: tea party
There's a storm abrewin'. What happens when good, responsible people keep
quiet? Washington has forgotten they work for us... We don't work for
them.
Throwing good money after bad is NOT the answer. I am sick of the midnight,
closed door sessions to come up with a plan. ...

Kitplanes quality: hands-on stuff by
Oliver Arend
Even though I am nowhere near building my (first) own plane, I do
(mostly) enjoy reading Kitplanes ever since I stumbled across it in a
supermarket in Mojave.
My background is aerospace engineering, which is very theoretical at a
German university, and I have only done some basic training in...

Hyabusa flat 8 by
bildan
'been scratchin' some paper.
It looks like a 2.6L flat opposed 8-cylinder could be made will not
too much difficulty from two Suzuki Hyabusa motorcycle cylinder
blocks. The electronic fuel injected 'busa puts out about 130HP so
two theoretically could make 260HP.
With 8 cylinders, the power...

Duration of Condition Inspections, USA by
[email protected]
Where in the US aviation regulatory literature is the time limit of a
Condition Inspection stated? Does it run out at the end of the
calendar month or a year to the date it was last performed.
Where is the reference that clearly lists the time limit?
Thanks,
Robert Mudd

Basic question by
[email protected]
As I have only ever flown Cessnas, I have a basic question. When
flying a stick plane like an RV-7. What hand do people fly with? On
a yoke I generally used 2 but if I had to use one to do something else
I would keep the left on the yoke. However, I don't know how
comfortable I would feel...

another poor man's car engine conversion by
jan olieslagers[_2_]
Yesterday I was talking to a friend who plans to power his single-seat
slow flyer with an engine from a Citroen Visa. I suppose this engine (a
linear descendant from the famous Citroen 2CV) is not well known in the
US, it is an air-cooled 2-cylinder boxer, in this particular application
it...
