recorcinal glue: catylst and timing by
Michael Horowitz
I did some gluing yesterday at 70* and could have used just a bit more
time before clamping the pieces.
Can I gain more time by reducing the amount of catalyst?
Can I gain more time by glueing at a cooler point in the day? - Mike

OK, I'm going to ask another fuel tank question. by
Lou
I have searched all throughout the group and I still can't come up
with a decent answer. What is a good fuel tank sealant for composite
tanks, that resist the alchohol that is in todays gasoline? I can't
buy gas around here without the alchohol. There's alot of people that
do not like pro seal...

Flight Restrictions on non-amateur built experimental aircraft?? by
Don W
Currently there is an "experimental" Bell 206 /
OH58 helicopter on EBAY.
I know that many of the L-39's and other warbirds
are operated as experimentals since they were
never certified in the US.
My question is this:
If you modify a production aircraft and call it

Building a composite spar? by
dirigible designer
My dirigible design requires a few long spars curved into C-
shapes. They would be triangular cross-section with their three
faces being about 3 feet wide and 100 feet long. They need to be
light, strong and stiff.
If anyone's has experience building large spars or frame members, I
would...

Slotted Flaps Pitching Moment by
J.Kahn
Been researching this but can't find a direct answer:
Is the increase in nose down pitching moment from deployment of flaps
any more for a single slotted flap vs a plain flap, all other factors
being the same? If a design that used a plain flap was switched to
slotted while keeping the areas...

Aircraft looking for help in the Chicago area by
steveukman
Hi,
I am N61LZ, a white Challenger CWS II. My builder/pilot may have to
relocate to about 40 miles North of Chicago. I was wondering if there
are any other aircraft in that area and if of you good folks could
recommend any fields, hangers &c. for a CWS heading that way.
I'll decide the location...

Press-To-Test Lamp by
Ron Gordon
My Press-To-Test indicator light for my landing gear has three lugs on the
back for three separate wires. Can anyone explain the appropriate hookup for
these three lugs so that I'm sure to hookup the correct wire to each of the
lugs?
Thanks!

Cessna 182 by
[email protected]
Group:
I'm in the market for an older Cessna 182.
Preferably with low or mid-time engine and prop, STOL, Clevelands, one-
piece windshield, decent radios and encoding transponder.
Paint and interior not that important.
Anyone out there looking to sell, or know of one?

Powder Coat on 4130 by
Phil
Hello
Was watching American Chopper this evening , I see things on that show
that make me cringe but I do enjoy the antics of that family, they always
refer to Pipe if they are building a frame out of Tubing etc. , this evening
they were working on a dragster bike for NAPA and when it came...

Hi, Everybody! I am a PPASEL and moved to Brazil last September. I
am teaching English, and have two classes of pilots and ATC guys. We
have exhausted the books I brought with me, and I could sure use some
student pilot texts (tapes or CDs also would be great!), anything

Wood Prop Question by
Kyle Boatright
Those of us who fly behind (or in front of) wooden props usually reduce RPM
significantly when entering rain. I reduce RPM to 1900 in rain, or I see
minor damage, despite the urethane leading edges. For me, 1900 rpm results
in a rotational tip speed of about 400 mph. This doesn't consider the...

Makin' Stencils by
RST Engineering
When the big old BlueonBlue182 goes on an overnighter, it is much easier to
carry "stuff" in those nylon drawtop bags than in suitcases, boxes, etc..
The drawback is that you can't really tell what is in the bag without
pulling it out, opening it up, etc.
(Please don't tell me to buy color...
